oki, Im not gonna say anything about the style, cuz everyone have have different taste.
This is my opinion, I can not feel that the image is interesting., the man who is fishing is " boring", the water looks better than him too. Then it is the light, where does your light sourse come from? Iguess its the sun, it looks like the sun its on the left and shining over to the right(back), but then the shadows don´t make sence on the buildings. I believe you added the sun at the back but the shadows are also wrong then. The house to the left looks flat becuse of the shadows seems to be in the wrong place, the shape however tells us is not flat.
